Yin Yoga
In this Yin Yoga class, we will explore the deep, subtle layers of the body by holding postures for extended periods, allowing for the release of tension and the cultivation of inner stillness. The practice is grounded in the Tattvas, the five elements of nature—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether—that correspond to different aspects of our being. Each posture is designed to activate specific meridians, the energy pathways in the body, bringing balance and harmony to areas where energy may be blocked or stagnant. Through mindful movement and breath, we will work with the spleen and stomach meridians for stability (Earth), kidneys and bladder for emotional release (Water), heart and small intestine for transformation (Fire), lungs and large intestine for clarity (Air), and liver and gallbladder for connection (Ether). This practice invites you to soften the body and mind, fostering flexibility, balance, and a deeper sense of peace and healing.
Mantra Magic
In this class, we will immerse ourselves in the ancient practice of chanting Sanskrit mantras, using the power of sound and vibration to awaken inner peace, clarity, and spiritual connection. Sanskrit mantras, deeply rooted in tradition, are thought to hold transformative energy that resonates not only with our minds but with our very cells. As we chant, we will focus on the intention behind each mantra, allowing the sacred words to clear mental blockages, elevate our consciousness, and align us with higher vibrations. The repetition of these mantras creates a meditative flow, calming the mind, deepening our breath, and fostering a sense of unity with ourselves and the universe. Each mantra will be carefully chosen to support healing, enhance energy, and open the heart, allowing you to tap into the healing power of sound. Join us in this sacred practice to experience the profound resonance of Sanskrit mantras and the deep sense of inner peace they bring.
Stretch & De-stress
In this gentle yoga class, we focus on cultivating mindfulness and ease through slow, deliberate movements that allow the body to release tension and restore balance. Designed for practitioners of all levels, this class emphasizes breath awareness, gentle stretching, and restorative postures to encourage relaxation and healing. We will move through poses that support flexibility, mobility, and stress relief, using props and modifications to ensure each pose is accessible and comfortable. This practice invites you to connect with your body in a compassionate way, listening to its needs and moving with intention. Whether you're new to yoga or looking for a peaceful practice to unwind, this class provides a nurturing space for you to relax, recharge, and find calm in your body and mind.
Yoga Nidra
Nidra is a Sanskrit word that means "sleep". In this class, you will first experience some gentle movement before settling down for a 40-minute Yoga Nidra session. Our certified Nidra specialist will guide you through a script that activates and relaxes different parts of your brain in a specific order. This process aims to reduce the activity of your sympathetic nervous system and induce the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in a deeply relaxed state.
Trauma Aware & Mental Health Yoga (TMH Yoga)
To paraphrase Krishnamacharya's words, a masterful teacher will insist on attending to each individual's uniqueness. If we respect each person individually, it naturally means we will always start from where each person is currently at. The starting point is never the teacher's needs but those of the student. This may require many different approaches; there is not just one approach for everybody. I love this. I have been teaching yoga since 2006, and this has always been my approach. I am there as a space holder for each student's experience, to see and value them—no matter where they are along their journey. Hali Love, Creator of TMH Yoga.
What is Trauma?
When one experiences a very stressful or frightening event that is difficult to cope with or control. It could be an isolated incident or an ongoing event that took place over a long period of time. Trauma is a lasting emotional response that often results from living this event. Trauma can affect one’s feeling of being safe & also affect their ability to regulate their emotions & navigate through relationships.
The way in which our human being reacts to trauma in many ways is natural & can be beneficial to a certain point. Our body’s stress responses have evolved over time, to act as our own personal body guard, sounding an internal siren whenever we brush up against a potential threat. The problem immerges when this threat shows up as a past experience.

What is Trauma-Aware & Mental Health Yoga?
Trauma-aware or mental health yoga IS NOT meant to take you back to the origin of your pain. Its goal is to assist you in being more mindful of your body's sensations. By doing so, you can then focus on releasing any accumulated emotions, stress, and tension.
Trauma Aware & Mental Health Yoga IS an approach to create a safe, supportive space whereby students can build their confidence to learn and practice emotional regulation, and emotional agility, and learn how to effectively work with their nervous system to consciously activate their parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous system. TMH Yoga provides each student with the opportunity to feel safe in their body, in control of their emotions, and experience greater inner peace.
TAMH Teachers learn how to effectively guide their students so they can lessen their trauma response symptoms through the many tools that the practice of yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra, Sound Healing, Traditional Breath Practices, Hypnosis, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and both Eastern & Western psychology offer.
